About the Author/Instructor
I moved to Virginia from New York when I was eight years old. I am a 2007 graduate of Longwood University with a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies. I am a licensed educator in PreK - 6 and 6 - 8; English and Social Studies. Shortly after graduating, I moved to North Carolina where I began pursuing my teaching career as a preschool teacher in the public school system. I taught for two years before relocating back to Northern Virginia.
Prior to moving back to Virginia, I began pursuing my master's degree in Instructional Technology from Virginia Tech. I have been a member of the ITMA program for nearly three years now, and anticipate graduation in the Spring of 2012. Since moving back, I have started my career in the business world hoping to one day become an instructor for a major company or organization. I have spent time with NASA's Academy of Program/Project Engineering and Leadership (APPEL) and a private security company where I serve as a technical writer. It has been an experience, but nonetheless a great one! Technology is something I have enjoyed exploring since I was a teenager. It really has changed the way people live and function, and I hope to continue learning about and teaching the new technologies to those I am involved with. In my spare time, I enjoy photography and spending time with my family and loved ones. |
