Please use this section to locate terms and their meanings that have been discussed in this instructional program. Please note these terms have many definitions; however, the definitions listed below are for purposes of this instructional program.

- (Verb) A person who blogs is the one who owns the blog and updates it regularly with the information of his or her choosing using words, graphics, videos, and so forth.

- (Noun) The substance or material present in a piece of work - speech, literary work, audio recording, etc.
Copyright
- An exclusive right granted to an originator to print, publish, or film material. It is a form of protection, and covers both published and unpublished works. This right prevent others from printing, publishing, or filming the originator's work without permission.

Fair Use
- A government policy that allows limited use copyrighted information without acquiring permission from the owner. The owner of the copyrighted information has the right to reproduce the work(s) or can grant others the authorization to reproduce copies of the work(s). It allow individuals to be able to use different works for a limited number of purposes, such as commenting, news reporting, research, and non-profit education, without needing to obtain permission from the owner of the work.

- A small application that can be installed and utilized within a web page by a user.
Wiki
- (Noun) Web pages that are generally simple in design and hyperlinked together in which groups, friends, and families can edit together. Editing of the wiki pages can be done via the browser, with a version history for each page
- (Verb) One who researches a topic or contributes to an already existing web pages designed to be edited
Wikispaces
- A web application where users can create wikis free of charge. There is a site for educators and a site for those in businesses or organizations, but all individuals are able to create them.

- A system of hypertext documents that are linked together via hyperlinks in which users can access via the Internet through a web browser.
