Step One:

LiveJournal can be used by individuals, businesses, and educators alike. Blogs using LiveJournal can be created by individuals for personal use or professional use. Just like many other sites, a user can select to create a blog for free or one with cost options. In order to join LiveJournal, you must register. Once you sign up, you will be able to begin creating your blog. First, you must go to the blog homepage, LiveJournal. Please click "Create an Account" either the second tab in the toolbar or in the top right corner of the webpage to begin the process for creating an account. |
Step Three:

Upon creating an account, you will be brought to the "Quick Start Setup." Here, you can enter in some information about you, as well as select your journal's theme. You do not have to add information at this time if you do not want, but if you do, you can! Once you are ready, click "Save and Continue." |
Step Four:
After clicking "Save and Continue," you are brought to a screen that displays your account link and what you can do next. In addition, this page advertises a paid LiveJournal account and lists the features that come along with a paid account. It also includes information about "What's Next?" This is great to utilize; however, before you can post an entry to your account, you must validate your account through your email. Check the email account in which you used to register for your LiveJournal account. Locate the email and open it. Read the email and click the link that will confirm your account. |

When you click the link to verify your account, you are automatically brought to the LiveJournal Welcome Page. This page gives you brief definitions regarding terms you may run into while using LiveJournal. For instance, the site gives you the following terms and their respective definitions. Please note the definitions selected may not be the only definitions for these words, but were selected by the company for purposes of their product.

Step Seven:

Once you click "Post" to create a new post, a blank page will be displayed where you can add the content of your post.
Once you enter in your desired content, scroll down. Here, you can:
When you are finished, click "Post to (username)" You have now created a new post! You can view your recently created post by clicking on ""here" or "View the Entry." You can add as many posts to your blog as you choose! Unfortunately, LiveJournal does not let you add new pages, only new posts. Upon clicking on "Account," You will be brought to your account settings. Here, you can manage your LiveJournal blog including your account, display, notifications, mobile, privacy, history, extensions, ads, advertising, and games. Each tab offers something respective to its title. This tutorial will show the general account settings, the display, and the privacy. Step Ten:
After becoming familiar with using and managing your LiveJournal blog, you can have it linked to your Facebook and Twitter account(s), as well as Google and Yandex.
With regards to your Facebook account, you can have your posts and/or comments automatically show up on your Facebook account. This is known as "cross-posting." To allow cross-posting to occur between your LiveJournal and Facebook account, click the Facebook icon. With regards to your Twitter account, you can have your public tweets posted to your journal. You can also have your posts and/or comments automatically show up on your Twitter account. To allow cross-posting of your LiveJournal and Twitter account, click the Twitter icon. You can also enter your meta tag content value obtained from Google or Yandex. Meta tags are a great way for webmasters to provide search engines with information about their sites. Although this tutorial is about LiveJournal, WordPress offers easy step-by-step instructions on how to add meta tags to your blog! There are a variety of settings in which you can employ to your WordPress blog. Please view each individual setting to learn more about what it has to offer your blog! Remember to save your site each time you make any changes to the settings!
